Genuinely amazing stay.
We stayed here this weekend as a group of six (three couples) to celebrate birthdays and a wedding anniversary.
I can honestly say that this is a real hidden gem. Martin, Jade and a young lady whose name I didn’t catch were so friendly and welcoming. It was such a refreshing change from other 4 or 5 star hotels where the staff are great but lack passion or care.
These guys were awesome, they genuinely wanted us to have the best time possible. They are a warm and honest team and just so lovey.
We had absolutely zero problems with our stay, but I know that if there was just the slightest issue they would have been all over it.
We had dinner and breakfast here two nights, with one vegetarian and two flexitarians. So many places have been awkward about slightly changing dishes, but it was absolutely no problem. The food was fresh, tasty and well presented. And, really reasonable.
We asked if we could watch the England quarter final rather than going elsewhere as we’d had such a lovely dinner the night before. It was no problem, they re-arranged their function room and we had lovely food as we watched the football. It’s just a small example of how much they care and are always more than happy to accommodate you.
It’s such a friendly and welcoming place, if I was working in the area I’d happily stay here on my own and enjoy dinner and glass of wine and feel completely comfortable. They are welcoming to every walk of life and it’s a lovely, safe, place.
We all felt so incredibly looked after, I would absolutely recommend Thatched Cottage to anyone staying in the area.
It was a really memorable stay.
